In response to this week’s WordPress photo challenge Grid

I took this photo last week in Budapest’s Castle District. The reflection of the Mátyás  (Matthias) church on the adjacent hotel’s windows contrasts the intricate details of the gothic church with its red-tiled roof and the hotel’s 70’s-style golden-brown windows. The hotel actually has a very pretty Baroque façade, the remains of the 18th century Jesuit College but the main building was built during the Kádár-regime and was for a long time subject of criticism as it pretty much spoiled the architectural aesthetics of the church and the surrounding area.
